1. How long will it take to download a game?
-
This will depend on your download speed (test speeds here). The average cable/DSL line will download at 2,000 - 3,000 kbps. The average file size uncompressed that you would be downloading will be approximately 1 Gig or 1,000 Megabytes. This will take on average 3-5 hours to download (which is why we recommend down loading overnight).
2. What happens if there's an interruption in the download?
-
We have built in an auto-resume function that, short of complete power outage, should help recapture connection should there be an interruption.
3. Why the Sanyo Xacti CG9?
-
We spent a lot of time researching cameras and decided on the Xacti because it offered the absolute best compromise between quality and size of video. It films with the newly engineered H-264 codec that is quickly be coming the most popular for web based applications. The camera also has a wind-buffer built in that we found helpful when filming outdoors.
4. Can we use our own cameras?
-
Yes, we can convert any of the following formats: avi, mpeg-2, mov, and flv. WARNING: Although we can use these formats they will all create an extremely large file that needs to be uploaded. The cameras our videographers use film in MP4 format which is a much smaller file size and makes for a much quicker upload time. Only consider using your own non-MP4 camera if you have an extremely fast upload connection (ie -10mbps with Verizon Fios).
